Learn the stories behind the organizations and find out how they are leveraging their facilities and positioning in the San Antonio ecosystem to support startups.

Tour buses will load at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, and arrive back at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk at 3:30 p.m. Lunch is included.*

Tech Port SA

Since 2001, over $1B has been invested in converting the former military base into a modern innovation campus, with contributions from the Port, private businesses, the City of San Antonio, the State of Texas, and the federal government.  

The Port is home to over 80 employers, from locally based startups and blue-chip industry leaders to critical military missions, education partners and an industrial airport with 24/7 access. UTSA School of Data Science (SDS)

The UTSA School of Data Science (SDS) at San Pedro I is the only school of its kind at a Carnegie R1 U.S. Hispanic Serving Institution. This facility reflects a mission to inspire and prepare a generation of diverse data scientists who can make our world more equitable, informed and secure through the technologies they develop and commercialize. The 167,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility blends modern design with academic excellence and includes an amphitheater staircase as a vibrant hub for lectures, performances, and collaborative events. Cutting-edge classrooms, equipped with advanced technology to foster hands-on learning experiences, pave the way for great innovations. And the Dell Technologies Roadrunner Data Center has the robust infrastructure to potentially power hundreds of artificial intelligence and machine learning applications.The building is also home to 18 research centers, where groundbreaking research in artificial intelligence, cyber-informed engineering, robotics and more is forging new paths of discovery.
